The Chubman and Scrawn wallpaper’s up! It took a bit longer than expected to get this posted, especially when readers on the JEFbot Mailing List got this weeks ago, but it’s up now and just as with the previous wallpapers, it’s free! So I’ll quit with the gabbing, so you can get to downloading.

Thanks to everybody who requested this wallpaper. I was thrilled with how you guys embraced the “Power of” storyline (which began with JEFBOT.204_Unhappy Meal and ended with the strip that inspired this wallpaper, JEFBOT.211_The Legend Begins). Can’t wait to start working on the further adventures of this super duo! And anytime you see something in the strip that you’d like put on a wallpaper, BOTton or tee, let me know.

JEFBOT.The Chubman and Scrawn Wallpaper

Instructions

For computer monitors, select your monitor resolution by left-clicking on the corresponding link above, then right-clicking on the wallpaper that pops up, and save it to a folder. After that, right click on the wallpaper image in the folder and select “Set as Background” if you have a PC, or right click on your desktop and select “Change Desktop Background,” then navigate to the image and select it, if you’re running a Mac.

For iPhones, just navigate to this page using Safari on your phone, click the iPhone (320×480) link above, then hold your finger down on the image and select “Save Image” when that option comes up. Go back to the main menu and select “Settings,” then “Wallpaper” and finally select it from your Camera Roll. Voila! Now you can hang out on the beach with jefbot any time you feel like it.

For PSPs, the easiest way is to surf to this page on your PSP Browser, click the PSP (480×272) link, click “File” then “Save Image” to your /PSP/Photo folder. Name it whatever you want. “JEFBOT_thechubmanandscrawn_wallpaper.jpg” will do. Next, from the XMB, go to “Photo,” select your Memory Stick, and find the JEFBOT_thechubmanandscrawn_wallpaper.jpg you just downloaded. Now, hit the triangle button, and click on “Set as Wallpaper.” Click “Yes” when it asks if you want to overwrite the current wallpaper with the new one. When you go back to the Main Menu, the wallpaper should be set. The other way to do it would be to download the PSP version of the wallpaper to your computer, copy the image onto the Memory Stick from your PSP, and then follow the above steps, starting with “Next, from the XMB, go to ‘Photo.’” That’s it! A lot of steps, but the image looks pretty cool on the PSP’s beautiful screen.

FREE JEFBOT.Oasis Wallpaper!

Peeps on the JEFbot Mailing List got this early, but now that it’s out for mass consumption, what better way to celebrate the last few weeks of summer than with a summer-y JEFbot wallpaper adorning your desktop? Okay, yes, hanging out poolside in the actual sun with a drink in hand would be a better way, but can you capture that and put it on your computer? Again, okay, technically, if a friend takes a picture, that would capture it for your computer, but I digress. This way’s quicker and easier and won’t cost you the amount of a Dr. Pepper or Corona. So there.

All the standard sizes are below, but if you need something special, just let me know. Speaking of special, if you’re rockin’ a PSP, notice that there’s a PSP version of the wallpaper below, which makes complete sense since jefbot is actually playing one in the image, and is something that I should’ve instinctively thought about while I was drawing it up. Didn’t happen, though. Thanks to reader CheddarMan for the idea. And thanks to all the other readers who either commented or emailed me requesting this strip be turned into a wallpaper!

I’ve been meaning to put out a JEFbot wallpaper for several months now and due to a couple requests and some nice comments about JEFBOT.157 from some of you gamers out there, I finally put one together and made it available for download below! If you need a different resolution, just shoot me an email or leave a comment with the size you’d like. I’m also thinking a BOTton with this image would be a good idea, so let me know if you think so too, and i’ll make it happen.

The new JEFbot t-shirt is almost here! But first I’m having this contest to give a few of them away as a “thank you” to you readers. This time, there are three chances to get into the drawing for these sweet, luxurious tees. Check ‘em out:

Chance #1: This one’s easy. Just shoot me an email letting me know the number or title of your favorite JEFbot strip. If you can’t name one off the top of your head, check out the archives, find one you like, and email me. Simple.

Chance #2: You have to be on the JEFbot e-mailing list to find out what to do for this one. If you aren’t on the mailing list already, it’s not too late. Just email me and I’ll put you on the list and instructions will follow when the next email goes out. Pretty simple.

Since the symbol on mombot’s character is a dragonfly, find the dragonfly (and not the one on her shirt, for reals) hidden in one of the strips mombot appears in (you’ll know it when you see it). Year One Anniversary Prize Vote

UPDATE: The poll is now closed and “New Kick-Ass T-shirt” wins! I’ve already begun conceptualizing what will make this shirt truly “Kick-Ass” so expect some updates on that soon. It was so cool for me to get such quick feedback from you readers that I’m already thinking about more polls for the future. Big thanks to everyone who voted!

After putting the call out, I’ve received a bunch of feedback from readers suggesting what I should do to celebrate JEFbot’s one year anniversary. The overwhelming response so far has been for a new t-shirt design but I’ve received a few other valid suggestions (and a few not appropriate to post) which I thought I’d present here for a vote. I’ll abide by whatever gets the most votes (please vote only once), even if you choose the coffee mug.

Here are the top six suggestions you came up with. If you have any others, I can probably slip in a couple late entries before I close off voting next week.

• With a new, kick-ass t-shirt design? (33 votes) WINNER!
• With a “walk on” part in the JEFbot strip? (30 votes)
• With an original JEFbot pencil & ink drawing? (14 votes)
• With a party in Hollywood where we all meet at a bar for drinks and cake? (8 votes)

For clarification:
• Whichever prize wins will be given away in a raffle, like I did with the t-shirt giveaways.

• The “favorite character” shirt would be a shirt devoted to a single favorite character, as voted on by the readers in yet another poll.

Congratulations to the winners of the Free JEFBOT T-Shirt Contest II, and a big thank you to everybody who sent in an entry!

It was an interesting group of winners - we had our first one from outside the USA, we had two “Pauls,” and we had a return winner from the first contest whose husband also won (what are the odds!?)! Oh, and if that sounds like too many winners, it’s because, swept up in the chaotic fun of randomly picking the winners, my mom decided to donate an extra shirt to the contest (thanks, mom!).
