But these strips write themselves sometimes, and this one forced itself into my consciousness while I was coming up with what was <em>supposed</em> to be today&#8217;s comic. Look for that one on Friday, unless another idea bullies its way into my brain.</p>
<p>While my sister, Laura, didn&#8217;t make me a &#8220;Burp Tonic,&#8221; she did make &#8220;medicine&#8221; out of toothpaste and a big bottle of <em>something</em> she found in our medicine cabinet, and would distribute doses to all the neighborhood kids, when we were very young. Maybe that&#8217;s why my immune system&#8217;s so good and why I rarely get sick. Or maybe that&#8217;s what <em>started</em> me being burpless in the first place! Hmmmm&#8230;</p>
