The “cornbread” and “bathroom” incidents mentioned in today’s strip are quite real, and given permission, maybe I’ll be able to share them with you via a JEFbot strip someday. As for now, jefbot’s Warrior Sister will be in the strip in a mini-arc for all you Xinda fans, which might lead to a bigger storyline that I’m not sure exactly how I’m going to tell just yet.

I’ve also been thinking about hitting a few more comic conventions before the end of the year, so I might be setting up a poll to see which cities would be most beneficial to see you guys!

Getting banned from coffee shops and local eateries is normally an action reserved for jefbot’s sister, Xinda, but it’s probably best jefbot’s obsession with the baristas saying his name ended before it got seriously out of control.

I think the previous strip must have put some good mojo out into my reality, cuz one of the cashiers at the Starbucks I frequent totally called me by name yesterday. Unfortunately, the barista that actually made my beverage didn’t follow suit, and just yelled out the drink order as per usual, but it’s a start, right?

Just as with jefbot in the strip, whenever I go to Starbucks, I order my coffee, they ask for my name, they write my name on a cup, and then, when my order’s ready, they never call my name but instead call out the type of coffee, even though my name is right there. On the cup. It doesn’t matter how many customers are impatiently waiting for orders. It doesn’t matter if the orders are similar or identical. I swear, they take names for some secret, internal use known only to Starbucks. It’s maddening, and I must get to the bottom of it.

Oh, and my middle name’s “Scott” which is most likely why jefbot opted for that surname when the barista questioned “Schuetze.” JEFbot trivia!

Mayhap cel should’ve brought jefbot a frappuccino instead?
