In real life, the Cornfather’s counterpart has made many jokes over the past couple of years about selling my geek loot on eBay. At first his jests were met with laughter, but as time goes on and the jokes keep coming, I grow more and more suspicious of his intentions, and as my suspicions grow, so does my inner rage. If I were to come home and find all my treasures sold, however, would I meet that realization with a homicidal fury or a sigh of relief? I wonder…

UPDATE: Yep, that’s Anpan in the “Keep” box, from my webcomic buds over at nemu*nemu. And yes, I do, in fact, have an Anpan plush. I keep him next to my computer desk and feed him pizza.

Check out the guest strip I cooked up for my friends over at nemu*nemu this week by clicking here!

This strip was inspired by the art and humor of what is probably my favorite nemu*nemu strip, Brain Surgeon. Plus, I couldn’t resist drawing my favorite character, Anpan, in his lab a la Dexter’s Laboratory (one of my favorite cartoons) and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (one of my favorite musicals). So definitely check that out along with the rest of the nemu*nemu archives: it skews a bit younger than JEFbot, but the work Kyubikitsy (aka Audra Furuichi) and KimonoStereo (aka Scott Yoshinaga) are doing over there has made it one of my favorite comics on the web.

And since you’re going to be over there already, might as well check out the nemu guest strip I did last October, Flower Power.

nemu*nemu Guest Strip!

A guest strip I did for nemu*nemu, an extremely cute webcomic about two girls and their magical stuffed-animal puppies, is up today at www.nemu-nemu.com!

The webcomic has been a favorite of mine for the past year or so, because of the high quality of the strip and my love for pretty much all cute, small animals and Asian pocket-monster type things (I should really give jefbot one of his own), so I jumped at the chance to do a guest strip. Also, the team behind the webcomic, Kyubikitsy (aka Audra Furuichi) and KimonoStereo (aka Scott Yoshinaga), are based in Hawaii which has a special place in my heart since my mom (mombot!) grew up there.

Check it out! The adventures of the two girls (Kana & Anise) and their pups (Nemu & Anpan) are fun, and the manga style art is truly great.
