JEFBOT.224_cel Shocked
Woo-hoo! The strip’s finally up! It was totally frustrating not being able to work on the comic last week while I was repairing the site. Although I was able to get to sleep earlier since I didn’t have a strip to post, I would still be thinking about the strip, and generally get up, wide awake, around 3 or 4am – right around the time I’d normally be going to sleep the morning before a strip’s due. So even my body missed it, I suppose, as well as my mind. We’ll see how I feel about this tomorrow morning when I wake up for work.
Thanks for all the understanding and support while the site was down. Here’s hoping getting the strip posted and keeping the site running is smooth sailing for the foreseeable future!
lol this reminds me so much of the time my fiance clocked me with her front door right as i was about to knock. sent me flying back off her porch and into a mud puddle that was sitting about 2 feet from there.
ha! that’s hilarious, Mikael! i mean, uh, hope you weren’t hurt. heheh. and hope your fiance gave you some TLC after you got unstuck from that mud puddle.

exactly how you were supposed to feel, t_d! i could barely hold back the heaves after writing that mushy dialogue, myself.
IE seems to be alright with being able to leave comments and such, so for now I shall be using IE even though I prefer FF. But, at least I can start leaving comments again.
D’awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! It’s so good to see Cel back, and so cute how much concern she’s showing for JB. I love that side smirk JB has going on in the 3rd panel, as well as the eye and physical contact they both have going on. At least Cel and JB got another almost “moment” together.
CF’s just jealous, so don’t be hatin’. Love the title of the strip, and can now say IT’S GOD TO HAVE YOU BACK! YOU WERE MISSED! (insert little heart emoticon here)

so far IE and Safari seem to be okay, Spanky. it’s gonna take a while for Firefox to clear my site from its “threat” list and i’ve been getting a few reports that Google Chrome acts the same way. i appreciate you switching to IE for the comments, tho.
and glad you liked cel and bot being together again! yes, they got another moment together so i hope they enjoy it while it lasts. as you know, cel doesn’t have a good track record of sticking around.

I’m actually post this in chrome now without a problem. I did pick up something when I first go on the site yesterday, but nothing has come up since. Chrome for the win!

FF is working now, but it had me update recently so that may have fixed the problem. Just glad to know you’re back up and running here. I was going through my jefbot withdrawal

yeah, that banner was flash, but people seem real positive on the new one, so i think the old one’s officially retired. i’ll miss it.

if you’re using Firefox, and until recently, Chrome, that warning will stay on your browser for a few days or so, Aiden. it just needs time to update the “threat” list in its database.

It’s funny to see CF as the one with his tongue out in this strip. I think it’s a first for him even though JB has his tongue hanging out all the time.

Dialogue is perfect. It animates the moment perfectly. I especialy dig *Dont make me laugh its causing me pain, that maybe you can do something about* part.
Cornfathers being a prick. And insensitive voyeur. Get him out of there! Besides I have no need to see him spoil the mood in any way. You might have postponed him for next strip and instead last picture could be focused in on detail of the two without any words, just that oggling between them.
Oh, and knowing Eddie he is going to love cels nails. It looks kinda like overkill to me, but he has more nailpolish than any girl I know, so… Yeah I think you made those nails a little too visible and little too big maybe.
Seems like I criticize a lot this week but Im just a poor romantic soul that wants its fill.
I love the strip and it was well worth the wait.
i’m happy this strip got you lovin’, groovin’ and happy, Maryz! i can’t ask for much more than that. and thanks for the kudos on the dialogue and pacing – i love hearing when those elements come together for you guys, since i can only tell how it’s reading within my own head.
and yeah, the Cornfather should leave cel and bot be, but you know that’s not gonna happen. hopefully, one day, they’ll be able to spend some quality time together, without UFOs, falling boxes or nosy roommates around.

i love that you thought that, Jeff – i was definitely channeling that scene from Raiders with this strip. i didn’t want to make an homage of it though, since it would seem out of character for cel to be kissing bot’s bumps and bruises at this point, and i wanted a bit of playful banter instead, but i did almost have cel give the “where doesn’t it hurt” line.

Anyway, I LOVE this strip: there’s action/suspense w/ Jefbot’s busted face, passion with Cel trying to make it all better, and awesomeness with The Cornfather just being there.
Seriously though, this strip is jam packed with great dialogue and colors. Super funny, man. Oh and Cel is HAWT but not as HAWT as CF.
Lol CF, you are awesome…there is no doubt about that. But I am very sorry. Cel definitely has you beat on the hawtness scale…no offense man!

if you’re using Firefox or Chrome, those warnings should go away soon, Lax. those browsers just take a while to update their “threat” lists. let me know if you keep getting those warnings after this week, tho.

Most the girl posters are saying things like “aww” and “how cute” etc. Most the guys are saying “I’m with Cornfather” and the like. Come on guys, it’s kind of cute and romantic right?…right?
