Which meant I stood between the servers and the cooks and made sure the right food got to the right tables. Most of the time, I did a pretty good job (and made sure the servers didn't do anything TOO bad to the food), but there were a couple times when the customers came AND FOUND ME AT MY COUNTER to complain about their service, that I looked the other way when the servers asked. And then there were some servers I wanted to get revenge on, so sometimes they'd end up with their food not going out for thirty minutes. On Friday night. Yes, I can be evil...
