JEFBOT.190_Epilogue: Good Night, Mu
I’ve told you since the beginning of this storyline that things were going to get weird by the end. And so it goes: just when things seemed to be settling down as far as the aliens were concerned, they up and abduct our favorite little hamster. However, no need to worry, Musashi fans – this isn’t the end of his story, it’s really just the beginning.
This strip (or something very much like it) has been in my head since I introduced Musashi and MoMo way back in JEFBOT.28_Hamster God. Yeah, they looked a little different back then, but I knew that one day (should the strip go on long enough) the events in this very strip would eventually occur. Well, today’s the day, and I’m excited to finally get this strip out of my head and onto your screens via the web. Although nothing will change with JEFbot immediately, Musashi’s abduction is one of the milestones I’ve been waiting to get to, and it’ll have wide-ranging effects on the JEFbot Universe at a later date.
Thanks for indulging me with this storyline (the longest one, yet!). It was a lot of fun to write and draw and I can’t wait for you guys to see where it all leads. If you’re experiencing storyline fatigue though, no worries – we’ll be getting back into some more lighthearted fare for the rest of the year before hitting the next storyline, in 2010. Mu and Momo’s Luv Shaq, eh? Haha that’s cute. Awwwwwww! That was the sweetest first 3 panels of the strip. Love how you have Momo all nuzzled into Mu in the 3rd panel. This is quite an interesting turn of events. JB in pj’s and Mu floating away on a beam of sparkly light, which I can only assume is of the UGO origin. Good to see Abraxas and Mu back together with JB, and even seeing Ab sleeping with JB was adorable as well. Now I can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen Friday! This had me giggling from start to finish! Love it!

I know you had a typo with UGO but I like it and Im thinking of it as referential to Jefbots aliens… Universal Gamer Otherworlders.

i’m happy you liked all the human/hamster and hamster/hamster love going on in those first three panels, Spanky. and yes, you’re correct in assuming the purple beam is alien in origin – or from the “Universal Gamer Otherworlders” as Maryz surmised.

PS: Love the name of this strip! I dunno if you were going for something similar to “Goodnight Moon”, but I love reading that book with my son. Again, this was a really cute strip, and very strange, exciting and interesting twist. *In the voice of M. Night Shyamalan from Robot Chicken* “What a tweest!”

As for LUVSHAG, can you confirm that Momo is of female gender? If so how come you dont have a herd of little hamster cuddlers by now? Oh, right, Aliens made vasectomy surgery on Musashi by Momos request.

Momo’s little pink tail and Abraxas snuggled up with Jefbot in PJs totally made the strip for me. I hope poor Momo isn’t going to be without her Musashi for long! They look so cute together in their little LuvShaq!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm…I love the Love Shaq!!! I’m a little scared for jefbot, though. Is he safe? I’m sure cel will protect him if it comes to that, but I’m still nervous! This strip poses an interesting question…How important are humans if the aliens would rather abduct a hamster than a human. What do they know that we don’t?
