Oh wow! It’s so simple, but at the same time I am taking away so much from this strip. JB looks like he should have an entourage surrounding him, or at least a bodyguard. (Which I guess in this case is CF?
) CF is working his “Musashi/Mu Magic” with the ladies.. much like a dog might.. only it’s a super cute furry rodent. I love the people playing volleyball in the background! Totally love the naked feets again! Yet another awesome strip to blow me away with your artistic talent!

if i could spend my days at the beach like jefbot does, i’d be there a lot more often, Hans. heheh. and i think you’re right about the explosion if cel should appear while jefbot’s in his oasis – and if not an explosion then at least a spilled martini and a shorted-out surge protector, perhaps.
oh, and was tempted to draw jefbot in goggles, but thought he’d be more likely to be sporting shades this time.
now THATS….a day at the beach…I’m very lloking forward to see if Cel shows up…the ensuing explosion of all that stuff around Jef when he sees her will make an F5 tornado look like a ceiling fan…but then maybe it’s just me…great work Jef

I also agree with Spanky about naked feets. Just looking at it makes one feel how relaxed Jefbot is. He coud stay at home with his equipment, but he wanted to relax. So even though he basicaly took his home enviroment with him, he came to beach and has a beach mod relax. Kudos.
If he wanted he could use his stuf to take party up a notch, music or gamer event or something… Hopefully he wont be selfish too much with entertainment.
Im worried about Cels reaction though, she allready thinks that Jefbot is perv and geek. What will come next? Will she think he is a freak, throw him into sea, unplug him or simply join the gamer fest?
Truly an oasis of Jefbotism on the beach and I love it.

It reminds me of my past beach vacations, only with more awesome. Mom loves the beach, so she used to drag me there all the time. I’d just sit with a beach towel over my head and play whatever version of the gameboy was hot that year. She has pictures…

Is it just me, or with the sunglasses on, does Jefbot kinda look like 2D from the Gorillaz?
i’m a big fan of Jamie Hewlett, Driftertank, so i’m flattered you see a a similarity in our styles. loved Tank Girl and of course Gorillaz. awesome stuff. i aspire to be that good.

debated about whether or not to draw jefbot playing with his PSP or DS, DJ, but since i’ve been playing Crisis Core lately, I went PSP in this one. i’m down with you on the books, though: easier maintenance, and far less power needed to use ‘em.

Did you know it’s against the law to drink booze on United States beaches? It’s true! However, if you go out into the deeper water it’s completely legal to stand -or float- around and drink to your hearts content, BUT if “they” catch you drunk (over the legal limit) on the beach you’ll be arrested and detained.

So beyond WRONG! Being a California boy myself I just can’t fathom bringing technology to the beach. It’s just not right by any means. I miss real beaches….Washington’s are just too rocky and the Puget Sound is not the Ocean, no matter what anyone tries to tell me.
