Officially, the Cornfather is singing, “Nerds in love… Nerds in love…” to the tune of Edelweiss, but feel free to suggest any tune you think would fit those lyrics.

Oh wow.. you need to put up sneak peeks like that more often! I love seeing the raw goodness of the beginnings of any form of art, no matter what it is. (As you know, I am fascinated with the start to finish process.. so this was a real treat for me! Thank you!) Aww look at you all cute and handsome on your webcam. I’m sure this strip is going to be well worth the wait! And by the way, congrats on 160! (I know, celebrating a bit early.)
awww… thanks for the “handsome” comment, Spanky. easy to look good when my face is only about 100 pixels tall, though. heheh. and thanks for your interest in the art process, too. one of these days i’ll do a blog post or a vid about how i get from “start” to “finish.”

Hey Jeff, completely unrelated, but are you going to be at Comic-Con? We’ll have a drink (and maybe talk a little business) if you are.
i couldn’t get a table so i’m probably not going to the con itself, but i may just take a drive down to san diego to drink and hang with some buddies like yourself.
hotel rooms are probably hard to come by at this point, though.

i always draw the characters with different colored pencils, speearr, but i did do some filling and erasing to separate bot and corn from the background, otherwise it would’ve just looked like a scribbled mess. heheh.

haha, great strip. I’ve noticed nowadays that we no longer give out phone numbers as much as we hand out Facebook and Myspace names.
The name ImitationAsian came about some years back, I can’t remember how but I know it was because I’m half Filipino and people would always make jokes about it being “fake asian” so Imitation Asian came about and it’s been my tag ever since. Glad you like it, although I’m not too sure if it tastes like imitation Crab…maybe milkfish?
so true, ImitationAsian. in fact, on my latest business card for JEFbot, i have my Twitter and email address, but no phone number! is a phone number too personal nowadays? and thanks for the background on your nick – i had to know (and knowing is half the battle)!
Oh, Cornfather rules in this strip. Sure, Jeffbot is right he suck, but who cares his reaction is so funny.
I must confess, I was afraid of what are you baking for us this time when I saw the teaser but I love the pie.
Third panel is the best, ironicaly enough its the suspense panel… But the look on their faces are priceless. Jeffbot thinking about Inviting Cel and Cornfather about Nerdylove…
