JEFBOT.158_Always On My Mind

Although Fig, C-shel and Z exist in the real world, to say whether or not they exist in jefbot’s world or really are just figments of his imagination would be too easy.

Its occurred to me finally, that the cornfather has a pot leaf on his shirt. That or some kind of poison Ivy leaf… I cant be sure.

  2. shootzee says:

ha! it’s whatever kind of plant you want it to be, Daniel. i prefer to think of it as his “magical, lucky leaf.”

  3. Funnyshaffer says:

Okay, now I’m scared! Ha!! I love the raged crazy look in your eyes!!
This is a funny storyline Jefbot… Nice job!

  4. shootzee says:

    thanks, Funnyshaffer! :)

  5. speearr says:

    Nice background work here.

  6. shootzee says:

thanks, speearr! yeah, still experimenting a bit with backgrounds, so glad you like it. :)

  7. DaughterJudy says:

Nice strip Bot. Even if it caused you to lose sleep. Stupid redwoods didnt give you enough magic to last the week. XD

  8. shootzee says:

unfortunately, the redwoods gave me magic to be productive on everything *but* the actual strip, DJ! hence, the late nights. :(

  9. This one has so many awesome colors and shadings going on, bot. I love your face in the last panel. I agree with speearr, the background is hot! Great work, bot. Sorry you lost a lot of sleep on this but it was well worth it. :D

  10. shootzee says:

loss of sleep is a constant, so glad to hear it was worth it! thanks!

  11. Sonitan says:

Imaginary friends are REAL. Everyone here does. I mean, look at us, posting comments into an account of a “suppossed” fellow artist (and model) that is Michael’s (aka the Cornfather) creation. He makes us feel all loved and stuff by having his computerized “bots” answer our comments and then we’re all “look! jefbot commented!!”

    *evil laugh of doom*

    Eh, and just in case someone is TRYING too hard to read between the lines… the previous comment was a witty and sarcastic one, okay?!! I just felt like posting a ramdom thing today -__-;

Geez. *LOL* Well, is proven. Jefbot belongs in the looney bin. *LOL* But then again, I bet Fig, C-shel and Z are pretty awesome friends… for imaginary friends, of course.
*glomps jefbot and his imaginary-or-not-so-imaginary friends (I’m not particularly picky) and runs away laughing evilly*

  12. shootzee says:

heheh. love your random thoughts, Sonitan. and i agree – actually, the older i get the harder it becomes to discern reality from non-reality. it’s one of the things i like about working on this webcomic: when i chisel experiences from my life into comic strip form, they take on a more “real” form than existing as just floating impulses in my brain. oh, and Fig, C-Shel and Z do exist as friends in the “real” world. at least i think they do. like i said, the line between what’s real and imaginary is sometimes blurred. :)

  13. John K says:

This was a double punchline strip…I would have been happy with “they don’t exist” as it made me laugh on it’s own! Nice job!

  14. shootzee says:

two punchlines for the price of one! heheh. glad you dug it, John. :)

JEFbot’s Mind: The *ULTIMATE* Dark Ride…

  16. shootzee says:

you think i could license my mind out to Six Flags, reynard61? probably wouldn’t be appropriate for Disneyland… ;)

  17. Murrday says:

The soda slosh in the 3rd panel is a nice touch. :)

  18. shootzee says:

heh. thanks for noticing, Murrday! knowing i have readers that dig those details is why i take the time to put ‘em in. :)

  19. Maryz says:

    Glug Glug Glug

    Best pointer ever.

I agree with all comments on background, its awesome! And I see a next poster in last panel. just text shoulôd be something like:

    I´M ANTISOCIAL! JOIN MY BLOG!
    All disfunctions normal.

  20. shootzee says:

glad you dug the “glug” and the background, Maryz! and i like where you’re going with your suggestion for that last panel. i have some ideas of my own for a wallpaper or new BOTton using the themes from this strip and the previous one which i’m still hammering out.

  21. JefbotFan#300 says:

lolz….the last panel seems like a quote from a movie or something…..in my mind……here’s a thought…why dont we finish all our sentences today with ….”in my mind”

  22. shootzee says:

    great suggestion, JF3 …in my mind. :D

  23. Spanky McBubbles says:

Oh that last panel seriously needs to be made into a wallpaper. Love love loved this one! The whole strip just seemed to flow nicely, and I have to agree that the pop (I call it pop, sue me :P ) swig was epic. The backgrounds used for this strip were amazing, as they all were eye catching! Yay!

  24. shootzee says:

big thanks, Spanky! i’m always extremely happy when my weird strips are loved. heheheh. i’ve always found the term “pop” kinda cute, although, yeah, i rarely hear it used among us west coast natives. can “pop” refer to any type of soda pop or is it mainly used for colas?

  25. JefbotFan#300 says:

i want the second panel as a wallpaper…i do agree with spanky but 2nd panel looks just cool….it can be interpreted in so many ways….such as, why is CF frowning on JB…a) is it because JF stole his drink b) is it because JF drank the last bottle c) does CF have something he wants to bash JB in his hand….and thats the most likely scenario that i can get ………in my mind……

  26. Spanky McBubbles says:

I call any sort of carbonated beverage that would normally be called “soda” elsewhere, pop. Everyone else around me here on the East Coast calls it soda as well, drives them up the wall when I call it pop. *shrug* So I’m different and use “cute” terms/descriptions (so you claim). What can I say? :P

  27. reynard61 says:

@ Spanky: You call it that too? It was “pop” for me when I lived in Cleveland, Ohio in the ’60s and early ’70s. It became “soda” when I moved to Berkeley, California. After a while (and several moves, finally ending up in Indiana) I simply started using the generic “soft drink” (or get real specific, i.e. “root beer” or “ginger ale”) because people sometimes got confused by the regional terms.
