  1. Maryz says:

    Whoa! Im first!

As I said before I hope to see Cel in this story arc and she might just be whats needed to get Jeffbot out. And Beach party is great idea.

FRAG FRAG FRAG – That had me LOL the most today. I am totaly adoring the mad gleam in Jeffbots eyes on this panel. I have it most of the time during gaming too…

  2. shootzee says:

yep, Cel will definitely make an appearance – this time without her bucket of red paint, Maryz. and glad you liked the fragging and evil gleam going on with jefbot in panel 3! download the free wallpaper if you’d like that evil gleam glaring back at you from your desktop. :D

  3. Randy says:

Amen, brother! It’s very easy to be social when you don’t have to LOOK at the other people.

  4. shootzee says:

heheh. true that, Randy. sometimes, limited interaction is best. :)

  5. Mandraco says:

That’s so me. God forbid I actually leave the house and see my friends in person.

  6. shootzee says:

i agree, Mandraco: if they’re really your friends, they’ll come and see you. ;)

  7. Spanky McBubbles says:

Awwwwww! Jefbot is so cute in this one! The Texting/Twittering face made me say “awww!”, as well as the last panels being antisocial. I 3rd panels action and elements seriously made me laugh out loud, as I am the same way when it comes to playing games! (Especially when it comes to Mario Kart, and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii!) Gotta love Jefbots look of determination in that 3rd panel, and I love all the different backgrounds for this strip! Another fun one Mr. Jefbot, sir!

  8. shootzee says:

glad you liked that 3rd panel so much, Spanky – i see you’ve downloaded the wallpaper already so i won’t point that out to you, but i will mention that the BOTton may pop up in the botSHOP soon! i haven’t played Umbrella Chronicles (though i’ve heard good things about it), but i make that face when playing Mario Kart with friends pretty much every time. :)

  9. Sonitan says:

Keep strong jefbot!! No one should FORCE you to go to a CROWDED beach party.

I’m pretty antisocial myself. I hate going to overcrowded places so when I have to hit the mall I do in before 2pm. The malls are usually “empty” early in the mornings so I can shop in peace. The internet is the second best thing when it comes to shopping ^___^

  10. shootzee says:

ugh. i hate overcrowded places too, Sonitan, and i hate lines, especially when i have to stand in one to purchase something. i do about 80% of my shopping now online – no crowds, no lines – and that number is only going to go up in the future.

  11. Murrday says:

Some of us can master social at a distance just fine, as Jefbot is doing, and still
have challenges with the face to face stuff. I sympathize. *wry grin*

  12. shootzee says:

glad you can sympathize, Murrday. sometimes i just have to be in the right mood for that face-to-face nonsense. ;)

  13. DaughterJudy says:

-bows head- I am guilty of ALL of that. usually as the same time. XD

  14. shootzee says:

keep your chin up, DaughterJudy! being guilty of ALL that is actually welcomed here. remember the motto of this webcomic: “All Dysfunctions Normal.” :D

  15. funnyshaffer says:

Ha! It’s funny, but it’s also a little sad… because I think the youth today really can’t have a conversation w/o an electronic force field! But I love the message and I love the animation! Outstanding as always Jefbot!!!!

  16. shootzee says:

thanks, funnyshaffer! i don’t think i’ve been without an “electronic force field” since 1986.

  17. shootzee says:

    awesome, Kloud19.

  18. Mary says:

So true today, Jefbot! Great work!

  19. Ironic, isn’t it?

  20. shootzee says:

yep, like ray-ee-ain on your wedding day, or a free ryyy-ide when you’ve already paid. don’tcha think, kev? ;)

  21. MageAkyla says:

Heh, I have people saying I’m anti-social because I don’t go out, but I chat on IRC all the time.

  22. shootzee says:

see, this is what i’m saying, MageAkyla! :D

  23. eleventeen says:

third panel. want poster/desktop graphic. pure awesome. maybe the finest panel I’ve ever on this here webcomic thingy.

  24. shootzee says:

wow! thanks, eleventeen. and: ask and ye shall receive; due mainly to your comment, i put together a wallpaper using that 3rd panel. so enjoy the awesomeness on your desktop until it becomes annoying. :)

  25. Ploute says:

You know maybe we need to redefine what the word Social means…does it mean to interact face to face or does it mean to just interact? Plus at what point is it not considered just putting information into a machine and truly interacting and being “social” with other people? How much feedback from other people is needed to be considered being social? I think there are some philosopher’s out there that just got their new doctorate idea from your comic. :-)

  26. shootzee says:

heheh. maybe you should write that thesis, Ploute! not sure if there’s a formula for being social but i’m sure the “mainstream” idea of social and what us geeks and nerds deem as social are two entirely different things. :)

  27. Maryz says:

eleventeen is soo right I wonder how come I didnt thought of that. That panel is bound to become big scale.

  28. shootzee says:

eleventeen is right about a great many things, Maryz! and you’re right about the scale – check out just how big by clicking here. :)

  29. Stan Yan says:

“Frag!” What a great sfx! Geez, we really missed the boat on using that in some of our SubCulture strips. Maybe later on our next video game or MMORPG story thread ;)

  30. shootzee says:

“frak” is another good one to use, Stan! ;)

  31. reynard61 says:

To quote Linus from Peanuts: “I love mankind — it’s *people* I can’t stand!”

Personally, I’m pretty social during the day and while on the ‘net; but at night I’m a bit of a recluse. I like to take nocturnal walks to exercise and clear my head, but will actively try to avoid contact with anyone else.

  32. shootzee says:

the older i get, the wiser Mr. Shultz and his kids from Peanuts get, reynard61. and i can totally relate to your nocturnal walks – nothing like some exericse at night to clear the head.

  33. Spanky McBubbles says:

By the way, the title of this strip.. name of an awesome band too! (Just reminded me earlier, forgot to post that in a comment sooner. :P )

  34. shootzee says:

yep! Social D’s awesome – couldn’t resist using their name for the title of this strip; the puniness of it was just too perfect. glad you noticed, Spanky! :D

  35. Montezule says:

Nothing’s like taking a couple years of cumulative effort and realizing it only took some dude a few days to go through all of it. Just finished reading the series from the beginning (started a few days ago), and I’ll definitely have to keep up, Tuesdays and Fridays.

And as for the cursing and the fragging, me and my friends usually find ourselves having a better time with the headset off. That way we don’t have to listen to:

    A. Little boys who learned English by watching Tarentino films.
    B. Guys discussing the benefits of getting to the choppah.

  36. shootzee says:

all the effort’s worth it when i hear from readers like you who go through the entire archive, Montezule! thanks! and i’ve employed that same solution when dealing with those kids from your point A – sometimes it’s worth the effort to just mute them (when playing on XBOX Live) so you can continue to talk to the civilized, non-brats. but yeah, other times you gotta just pull the plug. :)

  37. JefbotFan#300 says:

i very much understand jb feeling..,.social antisocial unless its your own comfort zone

  38. shootzee says:

glad you could relate, JF3! :D

  39. speearr says:

I like his default e-mail font… Makes it hard for people to read over my shoulder when I type….

  40. shootzee says:

heheh. yes, i think the font’s called, “JEFbot scribble,” speearr. ;)

  41. Ha! So true, bot…so true. I swear I was afraid to join Twitter cause you made it seem like it was only YOUR friend. Hahahahahahahaha…. I love the colors and facial expressions in this strip. You’re kickin a$$ and takin names. Ooohhh…I have to go now and tweet about bot’s new strip. ;-)

  42. shootzee says:

but aren’t you glad you joined Twitter now, Michael!? thanks for the tweets! heheh.

  43. emikae says:

    very very true.

  44. shootzee says:

glad to see this strip speaks to so many people, emikae!

  45. John K says:

I was sick yesterday and missed this! Very funny and sadly, so true. Jefbot get out of the house and you know, do shit! :)

  46. shootzee says:

last week i spent about 8 hours lost in a forest and traversed over 18 miles trying to get out. i think i deserve to spend some time indoors, John. ;)

  47. Zim! says:

As a friend of Jefbot outside the strip I can tell you he does more shit and is busier than anyone I know, John!! :)

  48. shootzee says:

    heheh. i appreciate that, Zim!

    thanks, Mark! you rule, too.

me too! I’m probably one of the most sociable anti-social people I know ^^

  56. omgpirates says:
