Remember how last strip I said I was good at faking being Latino? That’s not always the case.
Special thanks for help with this strip’s Spanish translation goes to talented actress/singer/songwriter, Ali. Gracias, Ali! I should probably also send thanks to Caroline, a friend from high school who would always repeat a phrase from Spanish class, “Yo tengo ocho paraguas.” So now that’s one of the few phrases from Spanish 101 that I actually remember. Glad I finally found a use for it.
not to be a grammar ninja or anything, but i think it should be, “Yo tengo ocho paraguas”.

Spanish?! I love how JEFbot is bi-lingual now…well, sort of. Really funny, bot. I think it’s hard for the Japanese to speak Spanish. When they speak, the two cultures use different parts of their mouths.

I can totally relate. People speak spanish to me all of the time, thinking that I understand. I guess it doesn’t help when I open with, “Hola!” But, that’s all I got. Great strip.
